Data Storage & Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

• •Photos are encrypted during transmission using HTTPS
• •Temporary photo storage on Cloudflare R2 with automatic deletion
• •No permanent storage of your original photos on our servers
• •Generated images are saved permanently only on your device

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• •fal.ai: For AI image and video processing, including partner-hosted AI models (may retain data according to their privacy policy)
• •Google Gemini: For AI image and video processing (may retain data according to their privacy policy)
• •Replicate: For AI image and video processing (may retain data according to their privacy policy)
• •Cloudflare R2: For temporary photo storage (automatically deleted after 1 day)
• •RevenueCat: For subscription and credit management. RevenueCat processes payment information through App Store/Google Play and tracks your subscription status and credit usage. We store a unique identifier to manage your credits server-side.
• •MongoDB: For secure storage of your subscription status and credit balance. No payment information is stored.
• •Plausible Analytics (website only): Our marketing website uses self-hosted Plausible Analytics for aggregate traffic measurement. No personal data is collected, no cookies are set, and data stays on our own infrastructure. This applies to the website only — not the app.

International Data Transfers

The service providers listed above process data in the United States and other countries outside the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom. Where personal data is transferred out of these regions, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the provider's certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses, as applicable to each provider.

Your Rights

Most privacy controls are built into the app itself, so no request is needed:

• •Your pet's name and birthday — the only information you enter — can be corrected at any time directly in the app
• •Uploaded photos are deleted from our servers automatically after 1 day
• •Uninstalling the app deletes all locally stored data, including your generated images

In addition, under the GDPR and similar privacy laws, you have the right to:

• •Access the personal data we hold about you
• •Request deletion of the usage records linked to your anonymous app identifier
• •Restrict or object to our processing of your data
• •Receive your personal data in a portable format
• •Lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority

Pawtograph has no user accounts, and we do not hold your name or email address in connection with your use of the app. Server-side data is keyed to an anonymous app identifier. To exercise your rights, contact us at the address below; we may ask you for information from your device that allows us to locate the data linked to that identifier.

We retain limited usage records linked to anonymous identifiers where this is necessary to prevent abuse of the service, keep it secure, and comply with legal obligations. We may keep these records after a deletion request to the extent permitted by law.

Children's Privacy

Pawtograph is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
